GIC 2012 : Celkové výsledky

(fm) Jak jsme zde již psali, seriál GIC 2012 byl ukončen posledním závodem v Kolíně nad Rýnem, kde byly zároveň rozdány i tituly celkových vítězů v jednotlivých kategoriích. O vítězích bylo tedy rozhodnuto, ne tak o pořadí na dalších místech, tedy místech pod stupni vítězů. Teprve po důkladném přepočítání všech výsledků, které se díky německé preciznosti protáhlo na 3 týdny, můžeme až nyní s definitivní platností najít odpověď na otázku jak to tedy celé dopadlo!

Dle očekávání poslední závod v Kolíně nad Rýnem nakonec zamíchal celkovým pořadím týmů a tak i přes veškerou snahu se týmu Winjay ISC Praha nepodařilo uhájit průběžnou 4. příčku. Nicméně přesto lze vystoupení v ročníku 2012 lze hodnotit pozitivně - pokud tým vstupoval do celého seriálu s tím neskončit poslední, můžeme celkové 9. místo považovat za veliký úspěch. Navíc nebýt několika absencí klíčových závodníků, mohl být celkový výsledek ještě o nějaký ten stupínek lepší. Premiérová účast českého týmu v prestižním seriálu GIC tedy dopadla dobře a již nyní je jasné, že tým, který se průběžným 4. místem dostal do podvědomí široké bruslařské veřejnosti, ostudu rozhodně neudělal.

As we have already mentioned, GIC 2012 series was ended with the last race in Cologne where also best skaters were awarded in all categories. The winners were known but the overall ranking was in the mist. Only after exhausting counting that thanks to German German accuracy took most than 3 weeks we may finally answer the question how the season 2012 ended!

According with the expectation the last race in Cologne stirred up the overall ranking in team category and despite of enormous effort all member of the Winjay ISC Praha proved the team didn't defend their running 4th place. Nevertheless for all that we may judge the 2012 team performance in a poswitive way - if the only team aspiration before the first race was not to finish at the bottom place then overall 9th place can be seen as a great success. And if we didn;t miss our key skaters thoughout the season the overall ranking could be even better. The premier participation of Czech team in the prestigious series GIC was definitely successfull and it's already clear that team once at 4th place of overall team ranking got into the focus of people from skating community.
