RYCHLE A STRUČNĚ  (fm)  V neděli se v německém Niedernhallu svým posledním závodem loučil se sezónou BWIC pohár a náš tým byl, shodou neuvěřitelných okolností a náhod, též při tom. Závod na 23 km proběhl na velmi kvalitní trati za vskutku letního počasí a naši závodníci se rozhodně neztratili.

Mezi zhruba 250 závodniky se objevila i čtveřice Jaroslav Zíka, František Míček, Pavel Zajpt a Rostislav Šticha, která se vracela ze závodu německého poháru v Geisingenu. Jelikož závod v Niedernhallu byl na programu v neděli odpoledne a jelikož Niedernhall se nachází přímo na cestě zpět do České republiky, bylo rozhodnuto že závod se pojede i s českou účastí.

Oproti sobotnímu závodu došlo ve výsledkové listině k drobným posunům. Nejlépe si poradil s náročnou tratí Jaroslav Zíka, který vybojoval 9. místo (2. místo v kategorii M40) v čase (00:39:03). Na krásném 12. místě (3. místo v kategorii M30) pak dojel Pavel Zajpt v čase (00:39:06), těsně následovaný Františkem Míčkem na 13. místě (3. místo v kategorii M40). Úkol dne, umístění na stupních vítězů v jednotlivých kategoriích tím bylo tedy splněno. Poslední náš zástupce Rostislav Šticha podal dobrý výkon a dojel na konečném 69. místě (21. místo v kategorii M40) v čase (00:46:46).

Vítězem závodu se stal Marcel Eschbach (SSF Heilbronn/Affaltrach) v čase (00:38:55).

BWIC cup continued with its final race in German town Niedernhall last Sunday and our team was thanks to unbeliavable circumstances that happened there. 23 km race was organised on a road with a very smooth surface. The weather was also very good, almost as good as performance of our team members.

Almost 250 skaters found their way to the starting line and we were happy that Jaroslav Zika, Frantisek Micek, Pavel Zajpt and Rostislav Sticha also were amonsgt them - they just returned from GIC race in Geisingen. As race in Niedernhall was due on Sunday afternoon and as Niederhnall is on the way from Geisingen to Czech republic, it was decided that this race will be with Czech participation.

In comparison to Saturday race we could find a few differences in the final results. This time Jaroslav Zika proved his sprinting ability in a very tough race and finished in solid 9th place (3rd place in category M40) in time (00:39:03). Pavel Zajpt finished in 12th place (3rd place in category M30) in time (00:39:06) just a few tenths of second in front of Frantisek Micek who finished in 13th place (3rd place in category M40) in time (00:39:07). The main goal for the race, to be a part of award category ceremony, was reached. The last member of the team Rostislav Sticha finished after a very solid performance in 69th place (21st place in category M40) in time (00:46:46).

Marcel Eschbach (SSF Heilbronn/Affaltrach) won the race in time (00:38:55).
